A single cask Auchroisk, independently bottled by Duncan Taylor. However, this single malt wasn’t drawn from just any old cask – it was drawn from a single octave cask, which are much smaller than your standard hogshead. This results in more interaction between the whisky and the wood. Just 89 bottles were produced.
Nose: Pine, honey, a hint of biscuit dough and waxy peels.
Palate: Baking spices begin to develop on the palate, alongside heavy vanilla and a touch of smoke.
Finish: Lingering vegetal earthiness.
